Advanced Clinical Skills for Adult/Adolescent SANE Exams

Wound documentation and photography:
- Work with an expert SANE and a medical photographer from Mayo-Rochester to build confidence documenting and photographing wounds on diverse skin tones. Practice forensic documentation in chart and body diagrams. Hands-on photography practice with professional Patient Educators with diverse skin tones with simulated wounds--bring a camera from your SANE program to work with or use a program camera.

Sensitive exams:
Practice sensitive exams with coaching from medical and patient perspectives, learning from professional Patient Educators who are trained to teach with their bodies to medical professionals.

When: 8:30 am - 5:00 pm (dates and registration links below)
Prerequisites for Participation: Completion of a 40-hour didactic SANE-A course and a SANE-A clinical skills lab. NOTE: SANE-A clinical skills lab requirement can be waived for those currently working as a SANE-A.
Travel support to attend is available for Re LAB members.
